It's truly a sad day when the true victims of this senseless and derogatory tariff war creates the division for which could have been totally avoided had the U.S. President weighed out the consequences of his actions. We will suffer, but not as great as our southern neighbors.

As an American (Thank you for sticking with us!) I'm worried sick. As a retiree my retirement investments are being pummelled. But that's nothing compared to what is happening to our 249 year old Republic! What will we ALL do when Russia takes over the US?

I’m ok. We knew it was coming and they are going to impact the US more than us. Trudeau has been diversifying our trade partners and we need to keep digging into that. Right now I’m just buying g Canadian or NonAmerican.

All of the above. I am anxious about us all getting out of this without full on WWIII. Questioning my decision to bring children into this world.
I think getting through this will make us stronger and I’m excited for that but man I’m grieving the loss of stability I had previously felt as a Canadian.

Just the fact that I am using this platform instead of FB means I am doing my part. we all are. I closed my amazon account, FB, Netflix etc. The only way we can beat the orange turd is to boycott anything from there. He is trying to weaken us to make it easier to annex Canada. I would rather eat rats for supper and earthworms for desert than have my country join the US.

Heard a friend of family, prob one of the anti-Trudeau troop, ranting about how we're doing everything wrong, shouldn't be doing counter tariffs, etc. I'm not giving very much estimation to this guy's education level but nonetheless it's irritating and discouraging to hear Canadians are undermining efforts to get through this. Thanks to the people who set this up for giving us a place to support each other.

I've never fully appreciated until now how much power POTUS has to make the rest of the world suffer. One person should not have that much power.

I am actually scared for our country. The orange turd wants our resources. He is partnering with Russia to share the proceeds of the Ukraine, He wants Greenland, Panama, the Gaza strip, Canada. he wants to expand. He has quoted the Monroe doctrine. He said he is going to economically pressure Canada into joining the us. The only thing I agree with is that we need to build up our Military. We need to protect ourselves from him. I think we need to never rely on the us again. we need to build pipelines to sell our oil elsewhere. He says he does not need our lumber, oil etc. So lets sell it elsewhere and cut him off. He REALLY wants our energy. Americans next to nothing for their gas at the pumps. among the least in the world. In January the average price at the gas pump in the US was 82 cents. We need to put an export tax, thus increase the price they pay at the pump. The us pays below market value for so many goods. They pay less for our electricity than we do. How does that make sense? I think Canada needs to REALLY get aggressive with the us and cozy up to other nations. We need to kick US owned businesses out of Canada. Put the us on the defensive. Play by our rules.
