Kcunac Platform - Rules and Guidelines

Comments · 488 Views

Kcunac is your 100% Canadian platform for Canadians and our supporters, where you can post, comment, vote, discuss, learn, debate, support, and connect with people who share your interests. We encourage you to find or create "Pages" or "Communities" on the platform where you and other like-minded people can communicate.

1)  Be respectful. Personal attacks, excessive profanity, and other means of putting other users down, harassment, bullying, or threats of violence will not be tolerated.

2)  No 18+ discussions. There may be minors on the platform so no adult discussions - e.g. sex, drugs, alcohol, etc.

3)  No COVID conspiracies, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric etc. We are here to talk about our great country and what is affecting it.

4)  Report any sexist, racist, ableist, ageist, homophobic, or hateful comments.

5)  Keep things legal. Do not make comments or posts which encourage breaking any laws/bylaws.

6)  No promotion or self-promotion. The "Home Feed" is not a space to be sharing your business links. Please create and use a "Page" for that. Creating and using "Communities" is also encouraged. If there is something you want to chat about and you are not sure if it is allowed, reach out to one of the moderators.

7)  Watch your profanity. Please express your opinion without it as the minimum age for the platform is 13 years old.

8)  No nude pictures, as the minimum age for site is 13 years old.

9)  Mind the frequency of your posts. No high-jacking the platform with multiple posts in a short timeframe.

10) No posting deliberately provocative content with the intention to disrupt the discussion, cause arguments and upset Users.

11) No politics. Keeep politics out of the communications. Look for another Group or Page regarding Politics to join. Keep in mind all Group and Page posts go to the Home Feed (for now) so keep it civil.

12)  Being positive and polite is the goal. If you cannot, revert back to rule 1).

maybe you could make an 'alt text' function for images for people using readers - it seems to be a thing at bsky.
